Michael Gregoritsch sets FC Augsburg Bundesliga scoring record
Michael Gregoritsch has become the all-time Bundesliga goalscorer for FC Augsburg. During a 2-2 draw against Bayer Leverkusen, the 32-year-old Austrian striker scored twice, reaching 38 goals for the club.
With this performance, Gregoritsch surpassed the previous club record of 37 goals held by Alfred Finnbogason. His goals included a strike through the legs of goalkeeper Mark Flekken and a header following a corner kick.
To celebrate the milestone, Gregoritsch announced plans to host a party for his teammates and club officials featuring Käsekrainer, a traditional Austrian cheese-filled sausage. He intends to coordinate the delivery of the specialty through a friend who serves as the Austrian national team chef.
