Michael Gruninger to present new book on trading addiction in Freiburg

Author Michael Gruninger will present his new book, ‘Mission Spielfrei – Spielsucht erkennen und richtig handeln’, at the ‘Words & Vibes’ Freiburg Book Festival on October 17, 2026. The reading will take place in the jury courtroom of the Freiburg Regional Court.

In the book, Gruninger discusses his personal transition from a successful entrepreneur managing up to 300 employees to an individual struggling with severe trading addiction. He details how excessive financial market trading led to a cycle of high risks, massive monetary losses, and a loss of control that resulted in criminal convictions and imprisonment. Today, Gruninger works as an author and speaker to raise awareness regarding trading and gambling addiction.
