Michael J. Fox receives Bob Hope Humanitarian Award

Actor Michael J. Fox has been honored with the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award at the Emmy Awards. The recognition highlights his extensive philanthropic work through the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

Since being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1991, Fox has dedicated much of his life to supporting research for the condition. His foundation has become a leading non-profit funder of Parkinson's research globally, aiming to develop new therapies and work toward a cure.

During his acceptance speech, Fox paid tribute to Bob Hope, noting how Hope’s history of supporting military families served as an inspiration for his own commitment to helping others when circumstances become difficult.
