Michael Jackson Abuse Lawsuit Set for Trial in February 2028

A Los Angeles County judge has scheduled a civil trial for February 14, 2028, involving Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who allege that Michael Jackson sexually abused them as children. The case, originally slated for November 2027, was delayed due to discovery issues. Robson claims abuse began when he was seven in the early 1990s and continued for seven years, while Safechuck says the abuse started in Paris in 1988 when he was ten and lasted four years. Their lawsuits target Jackson’s former companies, MJJ Productions and MJJ Ventures, citing negligence and breach of fiduciary duty. Earlier dismissals were overturned after California enacted a law extending the filing window for childhood sexual‑abuse claims. Jackson, who died in 2009, denied the allegations and was acquitted of child‑molestation charges in a 2005 criminal trial. The estate continues to contest the civil claims.
