Michael Jackson celebrated through film and music in Brazil

Michael Jackson's legacy is being celebrated through various media in Brazil. The biographical film ‘Michael’, directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Jaafar Jackson, is returning to Brazilian cinemas for special screenings on August 29 to coincide with the artist's birthday. The film has previously been a major commercial success in the country, ranking as the 12th largest release in Brazil with over R$ 169 million in local revenue.

In addition to the cinematic release, a musical tribute titled ‘Tributo a Michael Jackson – Uma celebração inesquecível ao legado do Rei do Pop’ will be held at the Casa de Cultura Adolpho Bloch in Teresópolis on August 22. The performance will feature students and musicians from the Studio de Voz Cantada Jane Gomes, along with the Chosen Voices Choir, and will include accessibility features such as Sign Language interpretation and audio description.
