Michael Jackson docuseries debuts on Netflix as biopic sparks memories from producer

Netflix is launching a three‑part documentary series that revisits Michael Jackson’s 2005 criminal trial, where the pop star was accused of child molestation but was acquitted. The series, titled *Michael Jackson: The Judgment*, will premiere on June 3 and features testimony from jurors, witnesses, journalists and legal teams to reconstruct the courtroom drama.

Hungarian‑born musician and producer Leslie Mandoki, who knew Jackson personally, reflected on the new Hollywood biopic about the singer. He said, "I am very happy that they finally made this film about Michael!" Mandoki praised the film for portraying Jackson’s personality and kindness rather than sensationalist gossip, highlighting his long‑standing friendship with Quincy Jones and visits to Neverland.

Both pieces underscore a renewed cultural focus on Jackson’s legacy, blending archival courtroom material with contemporary film portrayals.
