Michael Jackson tribute shows announced for Tunisia and Morocco

Michael Jackson tribute performances are scheduled for late October 2026 in North Africa, marking significant interest in the pop icon's legacy.

In Tunisia, the Tunisian Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Shady Garfi, will perform a symphonic tribute at the Tunis Opera Theatre within the Cité de la Culture on October 29, 2026. The production aims to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Jackson’s 1996 concert in Tunis, featuring a blend of symphonic music, vocals, and dance to perform hits such as ‘Billie Jean’, ‘Thriller’, ‘Beat It’, and ‘Smooth Criminal’.

In Morocco, the ‘This Is Michael’ tribute show, led by performer Lenny Jay, is set to take place at the Théâtre Royal de Rabat on October 29. The production includes live musicians, dancers, and costumes designed to recreate Jackson’s stage presence. High demand has been noted for the Rabat event, with the most expensive ticket categories, priced up to 1,500 MAD, already sold out.
