Michael Jackson's only Polish concert marks 30th anniversary

Thirty years ago, Michael Jackson performed his first and only concert in Poland as part of his ‘HIStory World Tour’. The event took place on September 20, 1996, at the Bemowo airport in Warsaw.

During his four-day visit to the capital, Jackson and his crew stayed at the Marriott Hotel, where 67 rooms were reserved. To accommodate his rehearsal needs, a special wooden floor was installed in his 40th-floor suite. The singer's visit was marked by massive crowds at Okęcie Airport and significant media coverage, including broadcasts by Polsat.

Beyond the performance, Jackson expressed interest in the country, having previously considered purchasing a home in the Silesia region and proposing the construction of a family amusement park.
