Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ jacket to be auctioned in Abu Dhabi

Michael Jackson’s iconic red and black leather jacket from the 1983 ‘Thriller’ music video is set to be auctioned in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, by Julien’s Auctions in early December.

The calfskin jacket, designed by Deborah Landis, is estimated to be worth more than $10 million. This specific piece is the one worn by Jackson in scenes without zombie makeup. It features a red silk lining and personal inscriptions from the singer to designers Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush.

Other notable items from the King of Pop will also be available, including his sequined glove used during the 1983 Motown 25 performance, which is valued at approximately $800,000. Additionally, two pairs of Jackson’s black leather shoes are up for sale, with the ‘moonwalk’ shoes estimated between $60,000 and $80,000.
