Michael Jung competes in Aachen World Equestrian Championships

Four-time Olympic champion Michael Jung is competing in the World Equestrian Championships in Aachen. Jung, a specialist in eventing—which includes dressage, cross-country, and show jumping—is riding his 18-year-old Hannoverian gelding, Chipmunk.

Jung described the partnership with Chipmunk as a process of mutual learning and growth. This championship in Aachen is expected to be the final major appearance for the veteran horse before he potentially retires to the rider's estate in Horb am Neckar.
