Michael Jung leads FEI Eventing World Championship after cross-country phase

At the FEI Eventing World Championship in Aachen, German rider Michael Jung and his horse fischerChipmunk FRH have taken the lead in the individual standings following a successful cross-country phase. The duo completed the technically demanding course with zero penalties and within the time limit, earning 23.0 points.

Jung expressed high satisfaction with the performance of his 18-year-old Hanoverian gelding, noting the horse's energy and concentration. The event saw significant spectator turnout, with approximately 35,000 people attending the cross-country course. The competition now moves toward the final jumping phase, where Jung and his competitors, including Great Britain's Rosalind Canter and Laura Collett, will vie for the top positions.

In addition to the eventing competition, the championship program includes vaulting events, such as the Nations Cup, featuring performances from athletes like Jannik Heiland, Kimberly Hyks, Philine Lindhorst, and Cjell Aaron Richert.
