Michael Kofoid wins Battle at Belle-Clair sprint car race

Michael ‘Buddy’ Kofoid secured victory at the Belle-Clair Fairgrounds Park Speedway in Belleville, Illinois, during the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series event. Kofoid, driving the Roth Motorsports No. 83, won after a competitive duel with Garet Williamson that saw multiple lead changes throughout the 40-lap feature.

Williamson led early in the race but struggled with lap traffic and eventually flipped in turn one on lap 30 following contact with a lapped car. This incident triggered a red flag, allowing Parker Price-Miller to contend for the lead, though Kofoid ultimately maintained his advantage to claim the Battle at Belle-Clair championship belt.

This win marks Kofoid’s 16th victory of the 2026 season, tying the most triumphs in a single season for Roth Motorsports.
