Michael Kreiner appointed head of ALE Niederbayern

Michael Kreiner has been appointed as the new head of the Office for Rural Development (ALE) in Lower Bavaria. The appointment was formalized during a ceremony where Hubert Bittlmayer, representing the Bavarian State Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism, transferred leadership to Kreiner.

During the event, the outgoing head, Hans-Peter Schmucker, was honored with the State Medal in Silver for his long-standing commitment to rural development in the region. Schmucker's career included various leadership roles within rural development administrations across Swabia, the Upper Palatinate, and Lower Bavaria, as well as international experience in China and other European countries.

Bavarian Agriculture Minister Michaela Kaniber noted in a written statement that the ALE serves as a reliable partner for municipalities, playing a significant role in maintaining the livability of villages and strengthening regional identity.
