Michael Malone sets new tone for UNC basketball

Under new head coach Michael Malone, the University of North Carolina men's basketball team has begun practice and exhibition preparations. Returning players, including Isaiah Denis, Jarin Stevenson, and Jaydon Young, recently met with the media to discuss the transition and the new expectations for the program.

Jaydon Young noted that Malone has brought a high level of energy and passion to the team from the first day of practice. The coaching change is expected to provide increased accountability and help the team avoid the energy lulls and mistakes that characterized previous seasons. Stevenson, a 6-foot-10 forward, is also working toward a more vocal leadership role within the squad.
