Michael Morales calls out Islam Makhachev and Carlos Prates

UFC welterweight division Michael Morales Islam Makhachev Carlos Prates Shavkat Rakhmonov

Undefeated UFC welterweight contender Michael Morales has issued several callouts aimed at clarifying the division's title picture. Morales challenged top contender Carlos Prates to a title eliminator bout, describing the potential matchup as ‘Deadpool vs. Spider-Man’.

Morales also addressed champion Islam Makhachev, accusing him of avoiding a fight by suggesting Morales and Prates face one another first. Morales claimed Makhachev might prefer Prates because he views him as an ‘easy’ fighter.

Looking further ahead, Morales identified Shavkat Rakhmonov as his ‘final boss’ target for 2027. The Ecuadorian fighter, currently 19-0, is seeking to solidify his path to a championship shot following his recent victory over Sean Brady.
