Michael Nader, ‘Dynasty’ star, dies at 76

Michael Nader, best known for his role as Farnsworth ‘Dex’ Dexter on the hit television series ‘Dynasty’, has passed away. Born in St. Louis in 1945, Nader rose to international fame playing the third husband of Alexis, portrayed by Joan Collins.

Nader’s career spanned several decades, including a notable role as Dimitri Marick on ‘All My Children’. Despite his professional success, he faced significant personal struggles, including substance abuse and legal issues. He was arrested in 1997 for driving under the influence and in 2001 in New York for cocaine-related charges, which led to the loss of his role on ‘All My Children’. In his later years, he became an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous, supporting others in recovery.
