Michael Page forecasts 2027 salary trends for finance and HR

The 2027 salary guide published by recruitment firm Michael Page forecasts an average salary increase of 2% to 2.5%, a rise from the 1.5% to 2% seen in 2026. Frédéric Benay, Managing Director of Michael Page France, attributes this upward trend to a changing inflationary context.

In the human resources sector, specific roles are expected to see significant growth. Specialists in social law, Compensation and Benefits, and payroll managers could see salary increases ranging from 8% to 12%, far exceeding the general market average.

Within the finance sector, high demand persists for experts in management control, financial planning, consolidation, and accounting managers proficient in English. The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function is particularly sought after due to the ability to utilize operational and financial data for predictive business scenarios.

Recruiters are increasingly prioritizing experienced, immediately operational profiles capable of managing corporate transformations. Additionally, the upcoming implementation of the European directive on pay transparency is expected to influence how companies address wage gaps and equality.
