Michael Page signs lucrative deal with Misfits for MMA expansion

Former UFC fighter Michael ‘Venom’ Page has signed a deal with Misfits to lead the promotion’s planned expansion into mixed martial arts. Page, who held a 5-1 record during his tenure with the UFC, stated that his new contract is significantly more lucrative than his previous arrangement.

In an interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, Page claimed that his three-fight deal with Misfits will earn him more than his entire UFC contract combined. He suggested he is making approximately twice as much money in a shorter period. The contract reportedly spans 18 months and includes a seven-figure payout per fight. Under the terms, Page is permitted to compete in grappling events but is restricted from participating in striking-related events outside of Misfits.

Page expressed satisfaction with the move, noting that Misfits offers more creative freedom regarding his walkouts and entrances. While the UFC chose not to re-sign the striker following his departure from the promotion, Page indicated that the decision to move to Misfits aligns with his financial goals and his relationship with figures like KSI.
