Michael Palin cancels book tour after serious fall

Palin shared the news via Instagram, describing the incident as an unsensational slip in his family bathroom. The fall resulted in three fractured ribs and a minor pelvic fracture. Despite the severity of the injuries, the comedian maintained his signature humor, noting that it was a “comedy fall with no audience there to see it.”

The announcement follows the recent release of his new book and documentary series, “Michael Palin in the Philippines,” which chronicles his travels through the archipelago. Palin expressed gratitude to the NHS for their care and apologized to those involved in organizing his tour.
