Michael Rhode contributes to comic art preservation
Michael Rhode, a researcher and editor specializing in comic art, has contributed significantly to the preservation of cartooning history. His collections of cartooning items have been donated to both the Library of Congress and Michigan State University, with the latter individually cataloging hundreds of items.
Rhode has served as an editor for the International Journal of Comic Art and has co-edited several books, including works on the art of Richard Thompson. His professional involvement includes judging for the RFK Journalism Awards and the Herblock Awards, as well as maintaining an associate membership in the National Cartoonists Society.
