Michael Rhode contributes to comic art scholarship and research

Michael Rhode, a researcher and editor specializing in comic art, has contributed extensively to the field of cartooning studies. He has served as an editor for the International Journal of Comic Art and has co-edited several books, including works on the art of Richard Thompson and Harvey Pekar.

Rhode's contributions to comic history include donating collections to the Library of Congress and Michigan State University. He has also served as a judge for the RFK Journalism Awards' editorial cartoon division and the Herblock Awards.
