Michael Ruzic debuts for LSU after securing NCAA eligibility

Croatian center Michael Ruzic has secured NCAA eligibility following a complex administrative process. The 20-year-old, standing 2.06 meters tall, transitioned to the United States after leaving the Spanish club Asisa Joventut.

Ruzic made his debut for LSU in a friendly match, recording 11 points and 16 rebounds. His eligibility was previously delayed due to his professional ties with Joventut, a common hurdle for European players moving to the American collegiate system. Under the terms of his departure from the Spanish club, a financial compensation agreement was reached.

Before his move, Ruzic had renewed his contract with Joventut through 2029. While the delay in his eligibility led to interest from various European teams, he has now officially joined the LSU roster to continue his development in the United States.
