Strategy resumes Bitcoin buying, reaching 846,000 BTC total holdings

Strategy has resumed its Bitcoin accumulation, purchasing 950 BTC between September 14 and September 20 at an average price of $79,670 per coin. This acquisition, totaling approximately $75.7 million, brings the company's total Bitcoin holdings to 846,000 BTC. The purchase was funded using the company's USD cash balance rather than through share issuances. Strategy's cumulative cost for its total Bitcoin holdings is approximately $63.80 billion, with an average purchase price of $75,416 per coin.

Alongside the Bitcoin purchase, Strategy repurchased 1,771,238 shares of its STRC preferred stock for $174 million. This capital allocation strategy demonstrates a dynamic approach between Bitcoin accumulation, USD reserves, and preferred stock buybacks.

Simultaneously, Strive has also accelerated its Bitcoin acquisition, purchasing 1,355 BTC for approximately $107.7 million at an average price of $79,475. This brings Strive's total holdings to 26,355 BTC. While Strive is increasing its holdings at a rapid pace, Strategy remains the dominant institutional holder with a significantly larger treasury.
