Michael Sheen to succeed Richard Osman on BBC's House of Games

TV presenter and author Richard Osman has announced that actor Michael Sheen will succeed him as the host of the BBC quiz show ‘House of Games’. Osman, who announced his departure from the programme in March, noted that the production crew expressed enthusiasm for Sheen taking over the role.

Osman explained that the decision to leave was driven by the difficulty of balancing the demanding filming schedule of 110 episodes per year with his career as a novelist, specifically his ‘Thursday Murder Club’ series. He indicated there will be an on-screen handover between himself and Sheen, describing it as being similar to an ‘Easter egg scene in the superhero movies’.

Sheen is scheduled to officially take over the programme in September.
