Michael Soroka placed on Diamondbacks injured list

Soroka, who has posted an 8-4 record and a 3.40 ERA this season, struggled in his most recent outing on Saturday, allowing six earned runs in just 3.1 innings during an 11-5 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. His injury further depletes a pitching staff already dealing with significant absences, as Soroka joins Zac Gallen and Ryne Nelson on the injured list.

To address the vacancy, the Diamondbacks are expected to recall reliever Gerardo Carrillo, with potential future options including rookie Kohl Drake or Jose Cabrera.
