Michael Strahan reflects on 9/11 healing in ABC News special

9/11 anniversary Michael Strahan United We Stand sports and healing ABC News special

Michael Strahan is participating in the ABC News special, ‘9/11: United We Stand – 25 Years Later,’ which explores how the arts, music, and sports helped the United States heal following the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Strahan, a former New York Giants player and current ‘Good Morning America’ anchor, shared personal memories of witnessing the attacks from New Jersey. He recalled his efforts during that period to push for the cancellation of NFL games out of respect and his involvement in league-wide disaster relief efforts for victims and their families.

The two-hour program, produced alongside Constance Schwartz-Morini, aims to focus on the inspirational and cathartic moments that provided national unity. It features reflections on how various industries, including the New York Yankees' participation in the World Series, served to bring joy and consolation to a grieving nation.
