Michael Strahan to host ABC News 9/11 documentary special

Michael Strahan is executive producing and hosting a new ABC News documentary special titled ‘9/11: United We Stand – 25 Years Later’. The two-hour program explores how Americans found resilience and community in the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks.

During an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, Strahan discussed the emotional impact of the project, noting that it serves as a tribute to the victims, their families, and first responders. The special will air on ABC on September 1, with subsequent availability on Disney+ and Hulu.

Strahan also highlighted a connection to comedian Pete Davidson, noting that Davidson was among the children who joined New York Giants players on the field during the team’s first game following the attacks. Davidson’s father, a New York City firefighter, died while responding to the events of 9/11.
