Michael van Gerwen drops in PDC Order of Merit rankings

Recent Players Championship events in Den Bosch have caused significant shifts in the PDC Order of Merit. Michael van Gerwen has dropped two places in the world rankings, falling behind both Josh Rock and compatriot Danny Noppert. Van Gerwen's decline is attributed to prize money from two years ago dropping off his two-year rolling total, which his recent quarter-final appearance at Players Championship 30 could not sufficiently offset.

Danny Noppert rose two places to eighth in the world, making him the highest-ranked Dutch player. Josh Rock climbed to seventh. Other notable movements in the top 16 include Gary Anderson moving up to tenth, overtaking Stephen Bunting, and Nathan Aspinall rising to fifteenth.

In the tournament results, Cameron Menzies won Players Championship 29, while Karel Sedlacek won Players Championship 30, marking a historic victory for Czech darts.
