Michael van Gerwen wins Nordic Darts Masters in Copenhagen

Dutch star Michael van Gerwen captured his second Nordic Darts Masters title in Copenhagen, Denmark. After a narrow 6-5 quarter‑final win over Sweden’s Viktor Tingström, he defeated England’s Jonny Clayton 7-4 in the semi‑finals. In the final, van Gerwen edged out fellow Englishman Luke Humphries 8-7, rallying from a 3-1 deficit to win on the deciding leg.

The tournament featured a memorable incident when a spectator dressed in an Elvis‑style outfit was asked to leave the arena during van Gerwen’s quarter‑final match. Humphries also faced boos from the crowd in the final. Van Gerwen became the first player to win the event twice since its inception in 2021, and the victory sets the stage for the upcoming US Darts Masters in New York.
