Michaela Mokrá resigns as director of Litoměřice cultural facilities

Michaela Mokrá has announced her resignation as the director of Městská kulturní zařízení (MKZ) in Litoměřice. She will step down from her position at the end of this year to accept a new professional challenge at the regional level.

Mokrá has led the organization since mid-2021, following the merger of the Zahrada Čech exhibition center with the municipal cultural facilities. During her tenure, she managed projects involving culture, regional development, and subsidy policy, while overseeing strategic management, marketing, and economic operations.

Litoměřice Mayor Radek Löwy expressed regret over her departure but emphasized the importance of a smooth transition. The city plans to launch a selection process for a new director in the coming days, with the goal of having a successor in place by the beginning of the new year. The MKZ organization includes several entities, such as Kino Máj, the House of Culture, the K. H. Mácha Theatre, Litoměřice Castle, and the Zahrada Čech.
