Michaels and Hallmark partner for screen-free holiday experiences

Michaels and Hallmark have launched a seasonal partnership inspired by the upcoming Hallmark original film, ‘Holiday Unplugged’. The collaboration aims to capitalize on a growing consumer demand for screen-free activities, with research indicating that 80% of parents are seeking hands-on holiday experiences that do not involve digital devices.

Starting November 1, Michaels will host in-store workshops and seasonal crafting sessions featuring projects such as handmade greeting cards, paper ornaments, and clay decorations. The partnership also includes on-demand projects, online classes, and a curated assortment of exclusive Hallmark merchandise, including holiday décor and plush products.

The initiative seeks to transform retail spaces into experiential destinations by connecting entertainment storytelling with tangible, family-focused activities. The film ‘Holiday Unplugged’ is scheduled to premiere on November 7 on the Hallmark Channel, followed by Hallmark+ the next day.
