Michel Drucker reflects on career and family in new memoir

French television host Michel Drucker, 84, is reflecting on his sixty-year career and personal history in his new book, ‘Je vous ai tant aimés’. The memoir serves as a way for the presenter to test his memory while paying tribute to the many celebrities and political figures he has interviewed over the decades.

Drucker has shared deeply personal reflections regarding his family, describing the loss of his brother, Jean, as the ‘great drama of my life’. He expressed profound pride in his niece, actress Léa Drucker, while noting the regret that his parents and brother are not present to witness her professional successes.

The book also touches upon his family's history, including his father, Abraham Drucker, who was interned in Drancy and Compiègne during the war. Drucker describes his long-standing connection to Paris's 7th arrondissement and his enduring relationship with the French public.
