Michel Nogueira defends work as rideshare driver after social media mockery

Michel Nogueira, a former participant of the reality show Big Brother Brasil 24, has addressed social media backlash after a passenger identified him as a rideshare driver in Belo Horizonte. The passenger posted images of the trip on X (formerly Twitter), including Nogueira’s photo, car details, license plate, and location, with captions mocking his transition from a major reality show to driving for an app.

In a video response on Instagram, Nogueira expressed frustration over the exposure of his personal information and the derogatory tone used by the passenger. He defended his work ethic, stating that he is not driving because “life went wrong,” but rather as part of multiple professional activities. He noted that he has been a teacher, works on the internet, is finishing a degree in Veterinary Medicine, and is also involved in other projects.

Nogueira concluded by defending the dignity of rideshare drivers, highlighting their essential role in transporting people to work, school, and medical appointments, and criticizing the tendency to belittle honest labor.
