Michel Soro and George Liddard to fight for IBO middleweight title

Michel Soro will defend his IBO middleweight title against George Liddard on December 12 at the Salle des Étoiles in Monte-Carlo. The event, titled Monte-Carlo Showdown VII, will be broadcast worldwide on DAZN.

Soro, a 38-year-old from France with a record of 39-4-2, won the championship in June via a ninth-round TKO against Hassan Mwakinyo. Liddard, a 24-year-old from Britain, enters the bout undefeated with a 15-0 record and nine knockouts. Liddard most recently secured the European title in August by stopping Dario Morello.

The undercard features a clash between Josh Padley of the UK and Moussa Gholam of Spain for the interim WBA super featherweight title. Other scheduled bouts include an all-British super welterweight match between Ishmael Davis and Junaid Bostan, as well as heavyweight matchups involving David Adeleye and Leo Atang.
