Michelangelo Spataro, a city councilor for Forza Italia, has addressed rumors regarding a potential candidacy for Mayor of Cosenza. While not officially declaring himself a candidate, Spataro expressed openness to the possibility, noting that he has received numerous requests for support from political figures, entrepreneurs, professionals, and civic associations.

Spataro emphasized that any potential candidacy would be contingent upon the formation of a “large political and civic coalition, united and compact.” He stressed the importance of a shared administrative program rather than just a consensus on a single name.
