Michele Catanzaro supports doubling Castello Dam water pipeline

Michele Catanzaro, president of the Democratic Party parliamentary group at the Sicilian Regional Assembly, has expressed support for an amendment to rebuild and double the water pipeline from the Castello Dam. The project aims to address chronic water shortages and inadequate infrastructure affecting the agricultural sector in the Agrigento region.

Catanzaro stated that the expansion of the water conduit is a strategic necessity to provide concrete solutions to local farmers. He emphasized that the fragility of the current water networks has long impacted the territory and called for political unity, urging regional majority leaders to avoid internal divisions and prioritize the agricultural emergency.
