Cinquefrondi councilor Michele Galimi targeted in intimidation attempt

An intimidating act was carried out against Michele Galimi, a local councilor and former mayor of Cinquefrondi, in the Reggio Calabria region. A Molotov cocktail—a bottle containing flammable liquid—was discovered on a vehicle belonging to Galimi's family, located within the garden of his residence.

The incident has drawn widespread condemnation from local political figures and organizations. Mayor Michele Conia and the 'Rinascita per Cinquefrondi' group described the act as an attack on democratic values and the entire municipal council. The Democratic Party (PD) expressed solidarity with Galimi, calling the gesture a grave act of intimidation intended to influence political activity.

Law enforcement authorities are currently investigating the incident to determine the motives and identify those responsible. While the connection to Galimi's political role is a primary hypothesis, investigators are working to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the event.
