Michele Hundley Smith found alive after 24-year disappearance

Michele Hundley Smith, a mother of three who disappeared in 2001 while out for Christmas shopping, has been found alive after 24 years. Her disappearance had previously been investigated by the FBI and the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators located Smith in another North Carolina town this February. While she is reported to be healthy, she has requested that her current location remain private. Smith informed authorities that she left her family voluntarily due to certain family issues.
