Michele Pascarella’s Napoli On The Road named world’s best pizzeria

Michele Pascarella, a pizzaiolo originally from Maddaloni, Italy, has been named the winner of the 50 Top Pizza World 2026 rankings. His establishment, Napoli On The Road, was crowned the best pizzeria in the world.

Pascarella’s journey began in 2016 when he moved to London shortly after completing his culinary studies in Caserta. He initially gained popularity by operating a mobile food trike and van, bringing the traditional Neapolitan ‘pizza a portafoglio’ to London’s street markets. Following this success, he expanded to three fixed locations.

The award-winning establishment offers a tasting menu focused on seasonal ingredients and creative reinterpretations, priced at approximately £65 with wine pairing options.
