Michele Senese identified as alleged mastermind in Lazio ultras leader murder
Italian prosecutors have identified Michele Senese, a prominent figure in organized crime operating between Naples and Rome, as the alleged mastermind behind the 2019 murder of Fabrizio Piscitelli. Piscitelli, a Lazio football ultras leader known as ‘Diabolik’, was shot in the head at the Parco degli Acquedotti on August 7, 2019.
Investigators suggest the killing was carried out using mafia methods to protect the interests of the Senese clan, specifically regarding drug trafficking along the Tuscolana axis. The prosecution alleges the hit was the result of an agreement between various Roman criminal groups.
Key figures implicated in the operation include Alessandro Capriotti, a cocaine broker accused of luring Piscitelli to the location, and Leandro Bennato, who allegedly managed the logistics of the ambush. Raul Esteban Calderon is identified as the person who carried out the execution.
