MICHELIN Guide unveils 2026 global hotel Key selections

The MICHELIN Guide has released its 2026 global selection for MICHELIN Keys, a distinction for exceptional hotel accommodations. The updated selection includes 2,832 hotels worldwide across 79 destinations, featuring 155 Three-Key, 657 Two-Key, and 2,020 One-Key properties.

In Australia, the number of recognized hotels has risen to 54, with 22 new additions. Notably, Southern Ocean Lodge in South Australia and Saffire Freycinet in Tasmania were promoted to the highest Three-Key tier, joining Lizard Island Resort. In Canada, Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge was one of only two hotels to receive Three Keys.

Regional highlights include 20 hotels in Chile, with andBeyond Vira Vira being the sole representative from La Araucanía. Colombia has 11 recognized establishments, while Mexico features 86 hotels, including 18 in Mexico City. In Turkey, the Cappadocia region remains a prominent destination with 18 hotels in the selection.

Additionally, the guide announced the phasing out of the Green Star in favor of ‘Mindful Voices,’ an editorial platform designed to allow hospitality professionals to share their practices through interviews and profiles.
