Michelin Guide expands in Greece to include Thessaloniki and Santorini
The Michelin Guide has expanded its coverage in Greece for the 2027 selection, incorporating Thessaloniki and Santorini for the first time. The new edition features 62 restaurants across Athens, Thessaloniki, and Santorini, nearly doubling the guide's previous footprint in the country.
In Santorini, the restaurant Lycabettus made a significant debut by earning two Michelin Stars immediately upon its inclusion. Other notable mentions in Santorini include Selene, Lauda, and Botrini’s Santorini, which each received one star.
In Athens, four new establishments—Aleria, Seeds, SENSE, and Simul—received their first Michelin Star, while the restaurant Delta saw its rating reduced from two stars to one. Thessaloniki made its presence felt with 20 total mentions, including five Bib Gourmand distinctions for quality dining at reasonable prices and 15 recommended restaurants.
