Michelin Guide reveals 2026 hotel Keys for Portugal and Brazil

The Michelin Guide has released its 2026 Michelin Keys selection, expanding its recognition of high-end hospitality. In Portugal, the number of awarded hotels has risen to 69, an increase of 14 compared to the previous year. Two hotels maintain the highest distinction of three Keys: Vila Vita Parc Resort & Spa in Porches and Penha Longa Resort in Sintra.

In Brazil, the selection includes 22 hotels. The highest honors go to Hotel das Cataratas (A Belmond Hotel) in Paraná and Rosewood São Paulo, both receiving three Keys. Other notable Brazilian entries include Copacabana Palace and Palácio Tangará, which hold two Keys, while the Awasi Santa Catarina was promoted to a two-Key status.

Globally, the Guide also awarded four special prizes for Architecture & Design, Wellness, Local Gateway, and Opening of the Year to properties in Saudi Arabia, Germany, South Africa, and Italy.
