Michelin launches EV Charge for electric fleet management
Michelin has launched MICHELIN EV Charge, a new service designed to assist electric vehicle fleets in managing and reducing charging costs during transit. The solution provides access to over 1.2 million charging points across Europe through a single dedicated card and mobile application.
Integrated into the MICHELIN Connected Fleet ecosystem and the MyConnectedFleet platform, the service combines charging data with vehicle telematics. This allows fleet managers to monitor energy consumption, charge status, and driver habits. By analyzing this combined data, companies can identify high-cost operations and implement recommendations to optimize energy usage and operational planning.
The service aims to simplify charging management by allowing drivers to locate available stations and plan trips without needing multiple access systems. Michelin stated that the service does not add surcharges to the prices set by charging operators and may offer negotiated rates on specific networks to help lower energy expenditures.
