Michelin secured as exclusive Hypercar tire supplier through 2032

Michelin has been selected as the exclusive tire supplier for the Hypercar category of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) through the end of the 2032 season. This decision, made following a tender process conducted by the FIA and the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), extends the French manufacturer's current commitment by three seasons.

As part of the agreement, Michelin will equip the next generation of top-class prototypes in both the WEC and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship starting with the 2030 regulations cycle. The selection process evaluated candidates based on technical expertise, product quality, sporting performance, sustainability commitments, and operational capabilities.

Matthieu Bonardel, Director of Michelin Motorsport, stated that the extension is a recognition of the company's ability to innovate and its commitment to accelerating the transition toward sustainable mobility. Michelin continues to use endurance racing as a laboratory for sustainable technology, such as the MICHELIN Pilot Sport Endurance 2026 range, which incorporates 50% renewable and recycled materials.
