Michelin to announce first nationwide Turkey selection in December 2026

Michelin has announced that the 2027 MICHELIN Guide Turkey National Selection will be revealed on Thursday, December 3, 2026, during a ceremony at Divan Kuruçeşme in Istanbul. This event marks a significant milestone as the guide expands its coverage to a nationwide scale for the first time.

Since beginning its journey in Turkey with Istanbul in 2022, the guide has progressively included regions such as Izmir, Muğla, and Cappadocia. The upcoming national selection aims to showcase the richness, diversity, and dynamism of gastronomic experiences across the entire country. The ceremony will also feature special awards to honor outstanding professionals and talents within the hospitality and gastronomy sectors.

Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy noted that the expansion will make the country's regional culinary diversity more visible on an international scale. Michelin International Director Gwendal Poullennec expressed admiration for Turkey's gastronomic wealth, noting the variety ranging from deep-rooted local traditions to contemporary interpretations.
