Michelle Bolsonaro begins campaign tour in Amazonas

Michelle Bolsonaro, the senator-elect for the Federal District, has launched a national campaign tour to support her stepson, Flávio Bolsonaro. Her first destination is Amazonas, where she aims to support two specific political fronts in the second round of elections.

In the presidential race, she seeks to help Flávio overcome the narrow margin held by Lula, who secured 48% of the vote compared to Flávio’s 45% in the first round. Additionally, she is campaigning for Maria do Carmo, the Liberal Party (PL) candidate for the Amazonas state government, who faces Senator Omar Aziz in the runoff.

During a recent broadcast, Michelle Bolsonaro called for political unity, framing the election as a struggle for those she described as “the unjustly treated of January 8,” referring to individuals convicted in relation to the January 8 riots, including her husband, Jair Bolsonaro. She pledged to mobilize women within the PL to bolster Flávio’s campaign efforts.
