Michelle Bolsonaro hospitalized in Brasília for refractory migraine

Michelle Bolsonaro, the former first lady of Brazil and Liberal Party (PL) candidate for the Senate in the Federal District, was hospitalized at Hospital DF Star in Brasília on Tuesday, September 22. She was admitted due to a case of refractory migraine, a condition characterized by persistent pain that does not respond to conventional oral medications.

This marks the second time in approximately seven weeks that she has been hospitalized for similar symptoms. In August, she underwent medical investigations and a cranial nerve anesthetic block. During this recent admission, medical teams performed specialized clinical treatment, including anesthetic blocks, to manage the acute crisis.

Following the procedure, the candidate was discharged on Wednesday, September 23. She expressed gratitude to supporters on social media. The recurrence of these episodes has been noted by allies in the context of the intense political pressure and stress associated with her 2026 electoral campaign.
