Michelle Bolsonaro launches voter‑monitoring campaign and pledges support for Flávio Bolsonaro’s presidential bid

Former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro (PL) announced a nationwide volunteer drive called “Operation V2 – Vigiar e Votar” to recruit party supporters as poll‑room assistants and election auditors. In a video posted on the PL Mulher Instagram page she urged citizens to “be a mesária, volunteer or fiscal of the party” to increase transparency, noting legal benefits and the need to raise women’s participation at voting tables. The campaign was promoted through social‑media posts, radio and TV spots, and coincides with the TSE’s recent opening of electronic‑vote‑machine source‑code inspections, a measure used by only União Brasil so far.

In separate remarks, Bolsonaro said she will seek an extension of the humanitarian house arrest granted to her husband, former president Jair Bolsonaro, and that she will not run for the Senate while caring for him. She also indicated she will back her son‑in‑law, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, in his presidential campaign “at the right time,” stressing that her priority remains her husband’s health.

These statements reflect Bolsonaro’s dual focus on mobilising grassroots electoral oversight and positioning herself within the Liberal Party’s upcoming presidential contest.
