Michelle Garcia joins SM Entertainment's K-pop academy in Singapore

Michelle Celeste Garcia, the 13-year-old daughter of Filipino actors Patrick Garcia and Nikka Martinez, has enrolled in the K-Pop Professional Training Programme at SM Universe Singapore. The academy, launched by South Korean talent agency SM Entertainment, serves as a training hub in Southeast Asia utilizing South Korean industry methods.

Michelle travels from the Philippines to Singapore every Friday to participate in the program, which focuses on vocal and dance instruction from Korean coaches. She has previously gained industry experience, including serving as a backup dancer for singer IU in 2024 and joining ABS-CBN’s Star Magic in 2025.

Her parents have supported the training by accompanying her on her weekly trips to Singapore, which they have described as significant family bonding experiences.
